“ May 24th, back from Amsterdam (hours of Vermeer, Rijksmuseum, no lunch) to Berlin region, we had an intermission near highway A 1, for dinner, in Enter, Gasterij Het Middenplein. Inside almost occupied on a mid week evening; we found a place in the evening sun on the terrace. Hot asparagus starters, main course halibut w/ truffel linguine resp. beef shoulder w/ roasted pork belly; vegetables, cole slaw and frittes aside. Sparkling water (car drivers), coffee and pastry. Enjoyed it much; nicely hosted by the patron lady, another young lady, and most of the time by the young lady in service at our table (talk about popular drinks, the 70s, Mary Poppins ...). 94 € is quite adequate to this tasty dinner for two guests. Just right before the highway at night. We heartly recommend this place. ”

Everything is meticulously cared for, without feeling stuffy. The welcome was personal and friendly, and the team exudes both enjoyment and professionalism. For my starter, I chose the beetroot tartare with crispy brie, surprising in both flavor and texture. The cod that followed, with a subtle pepper sauce, was perfectly prepared. We finished with coffee and some delicate sweets! The owner himself came to our table briefly, visibly enjoying himself as he talked about his background in the business. Personally, I love it! ”

“ Five years ago, I wrote the following: Very friendly staff...delicious food. Just be careful when eating soup. The bowl comes out of the oven, and they don't tell you. You burn your fingers if you even touch the bowl. It's a shame and annoying that this wasn't mentioned beforehand...I really burned my thumb. You only get an "sorry" afterward...maybe you should have mentioned it beforehand... Now I can only say, it was fantastic. It was very pleasant and, above all, delicious...highly recommended. You really feel like a guest of honor...very friendly staff and excellent service! Oh yes, I was clearly told that the soup had just come out of the oven and was still very hot...so something has really been done with the previous message...high praise for such a top-notch restaurant! ”
